How he
got his name: Not
really sure. I just looked at him and he looked like an "Ethan".
Does he
know his name?: Yes. He will even come to you when called.
Of course, he comes to you pretty much whenever you call any of
the cats.
Coloring:
Black with white stars near his neck and on his stomach.
How he
came to live with me: A friend of mine, Abby, had been taking
care of him since he was born, but couldn't keep him. Me, being
the softy that I am, "adopted" him from her.
Why did
I get him?: Why not?
Smart Scale
Index: About a two. Why? I think his intelligence level
is about the same as Penelope's because he reminds me a lot of
her, intellectually. If you can apply that to a cat. He is very
clever and he remembers things. He figures out how to do things,
like open cupboards and cabinets.
Nickname:
Psycho Kitty. The vet calls her Devil Cat.Why? Ethan
attacks anything that moves. He can be a handful (or an armful
- he is quite fat).
Talks?:
Not really. And when he does, he has one of those high-pitched
meows. Doesn't really suit what he looks like.
Plays well
with others: Well, he thinks he does. I am fairly sure the
other cats don't agree. None of the others want anything to do
with him.
Favorite
Food: All food, feline or human, is Ethan's food. As I write
this, he weighs over 20 pounds.
Favorite
Human Food: Cheese, egg, and milk.
Affectionate?:
Ethan can be very affectionate in between all of his pseudo-playing/attacking.
He likes to nuzzle and put his cold little nose under your chin
and in your mouth. He also affectionately bites my chin all the
time. Still trying to break him of this habit after 10 years.
|
Independent?:
He has his moments.
Favorite
Activities:
Ethan likes to play with the myriad cat toys scattered about the
place. He has a favorite toy, a stick with a basketball at the
end of string. The basketball is about 2 inches in diameter at
most. For some reason, he really likes playing with this toy specifically.
Tricks:
Ethan hasn't learned any tricks yet. He can do the old standard
- sit up on his back legs. All of them but Zach have learned this
one.
The Epitome
of Cute: I guess he is. Doesn't have the long fur, like Penelope
or Geoffrey. But he has a cute little face. My sister, Caryn,
says his face had remained the same size as when he was a little
kitten. I don't know if that means he had a big head as a kitten,
or what.
Wierdest
Habit: Ethan likes to watch toilets flush. He tries to play
with the toilet paper that is being flushed. (At least, that's
what I call it. )
Most Annoying
Habit: Ethan bites. Apparently, according to the vet, bottle-fed
kittens/cats usually develop have this habit. Mother cats will
smack the kitten if he bites her, so this breaks the kitten of
the habit. Since Ethan was bottle-fed and didn't know his mother,
I get the exciting chore of teaching him that biting is bad. Ethan
also enjoys playing with the noisiest toys in the middle of the
night. This, of course, doesn't go over well with me. I have insomnia
and all sleep is precious.
Most Disgusting
Habit: I haven't noticed one, except for the playing with
the flushing toilet paper, which I mentioned above.
Scared
of the Most: Ethan doesn't know the word.
Scariest
Moment for Me: None yet, knock on wood.
Anything
Else: Ethan gets into everything. And I mean, everything.
In, on, around, through - there is nothing he doesn't want to
be involved with. He also likes to terrorize Lucy
(I am sure that he what she would call it).
