How she
got her name: I
"rescued" Noelle from a local animal shelter. At the
time, she was named "Nod" as in "Winken, Blinken,
and Nod". Her brother and sister were named Winken and Blinken.
I cannot tell you why, but I prefer my cats to have people names.
Since she was already "Nod" and born in December (there
is some discrepancy to her birthdate but it either December 4th
or November 26th), I kept the "No" and decided to give
her a name more in the spirit of the holidays. Hence "Noelle".
Does she
know her name?: Yes. She perks right up and may even come
to you but probably not. Of course, she also perks up when I call
the other cats as well so she may just be reacting to my voice.
Coloring:
Noelle is described as a "blue tabby". That means
the dominant color is a silver gray.
How she
came to live with me: I "rescued" her from the Helen
Woodward Animal Center.
Why did
I get her?: I wanted a playmate for Lucy. However, Lucy doesn't
really like Noelle all that much.
Smart Scale
Index: Three. Why? She's fairly clever - she likes
to open cupboards and get into things. Noelle also loves to climb
and frequently knocks stuff off shelves, counters and other surfaces.
Nickname:
She doesn't have one.
Talks?:
Not really. When Noelle does talk, she has a very high- pitched
kind of squeaky meow.
Plays well
with others: Noelle adores Ethan and tries to play with him.
She plays very well with me. Not so much with Lucy.
Favorite
Food: Noelle mainly likes cat food. Mainly foods originating
in the sea.
Favorite
Human Food: Chicken. She also occasionally like cheese and
whip cream.

Affectionate?:
Noelle likes
to be pet when Noelle is in the mood. She generally gets affectionate
when I am trying to leave for work. Then I must pick her up (when
she wants to be picked up she will put her front paws on my left
shoulder) and rub her head for a few minutes. She will also gallop
alongside me as I get ready to leave in a futile attempt to trip
me and make me stay home! When I arrive back home, she likes to
lie on her back and show me her belly so I will rub it.
Independent?:
Sometimes. I may or may not see her for a while. But then
she will need to be close by or in the same room for a long period
of time.
Favorite
Activities: Noelle likes to climb. She climbs on top of the
refridgerator, the counter, shelves, window and door screens,
in the closet, miscellaneous items she finds about the house.
She also really likes to play with balled up pieces of tinfoil.
Those must be her favorite toys.
Noelle also
likes to hide. I will frequently find her in the closets, although
how she gets in there when the door is closed is somewhat of a
mystery.
Tricks:
Noelle is teaching herself how to open doors.
The Epitome
of Cute: Noelle was really cute when she as a kitten. She
still is cute in a cat kind of way, and everyone remarks on her
coloring.
Wierdest
Habit: Noelle really has no "wierd" habits.
Most Annoying
Habit: The climbing and the pulling of my stuff off of shelves.
Most Disgusting
Habit: I haven't noticed one.
Scared
of the Most: Noelle does not like to leave her house (that
would be my condo). She "freaks out". When we had to
evacuate for the fire, we went to my mother's house. Noelle explored
the house (she seemed to be fine) but she kept growling the entire
day.
Scariest
Moment for Me: None yet, knock on wood.
Anything
Else: Noelle can be very, very affectionate. And she always
looks out the window when she hears me come home. What more can
you ask for?
