Vernal Falls - July 3, 2001

My cousin Caleb planned our itinerary for the day. It was high-lighted by a long, supposedly moderate hike up to Vernal Falls. The hike wasn't too bad until the last about quarter mile. Up until then it was just a path that steadily ascended to the top of the Falls. After that, it was continuous stairs until one reached the summit. The path I handled just fine, the stairs killed me. I don't like stairs. My Aunt decided not to make the entire trek, and the rest of us continued to the top. Somehow of other we paired off - Caleb and Nalani, Malia and myself, and Shayne and Ana. Not sure how these arrangements were made, but they worked. All of us made it up to the top of the Falls pretty much in that order.
