Lembogan - Saturday, March 4
Lembogan is a small island about 2-3 hours away from Bali by catamaran. The group of us who went on the daytrip spent about 4 and 1/2 hours on the island at a private beach club owned by the tour group. Very nice people work for this tour group. I think I met them all, because they always seemed to be mingling and circulating amongst the tourists. Some of the tour people even spoke German! It is hard for me to fathom someone from Bali speaking German. When we arrived, we went snorkeling almost right away. So, get off one boat, get on another. And, in between, get fitted for snorkeling equipment. This was my second snorkeling experience in Bali and was definitely the superior one. I have never had equipment fit so well - no water leaked into the mask. A miracle! The underwater scenery was pretty good as well. All food and drinks were free all day long. Even on the catamaran. After lunch, the tourists went on a tour of the local village, which are the pictures you see in this section. The villagers grow and harvest seaweed, of all things. We also toured an underground house. No pictures of that. I finally got my sunburn, on the last day of the Bali trip, in Lembogan.
