Grand Circle

The Grand Circle is centered on what is known as the Colorado Plateau, an area that occupies much of southern Utah and northern Arizona. It also includes portions of southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico. It is a rugged, sparse, but beautiful desert-like land at altitudes which can reach 8,000 feet above sea level.

When I planned my first trip to the area, in 2002, I didn't know the area had a name. I found out as I was researching places to go, things to see. During the trip, I visited quite a bit of the Grand Circle proper. Since then, I have made other trips and visited more. Click on the pictures in the map, below, to see my pictures and get my commentary.

NOTE: I copied the map from the Grand Circle website, www.grandcircle.org. Anything you want to know about the Grand Circle can be found there. The pictures on top of the map were taken by me.
