Conwy Castle, Conwy, Wales Conwy (actually pronounced Conway) is a small town in northern Wales - look it up on the map. It's big attraction (at least to me and most tourists) is its castle. Edward (that would be Edward Longshanks, King of England in the late 1200's) built a string of castles in northern Wales in the 13th century in his quest to subdue the Welsh. I don't know what exactly the effect of the castles was, but he did eventually succeed in his quest. Conwy must have been a pretty castle in its day - now it is just a ruin. An impressive ruin, but a ruin nevertheless. Below is a slideshow. To start the show, you need to press the START button. The pictures will automatically advance; you can advance them quicker than the timer by pressing the navigation buttons. You can reverse if you would like as well.
